Job Description
Job title: ML Intern - Geoscience
Requirements
What You'll Do:
• Work directly on a live client project developing computer vision models for UXO detection using magnetometry data
• Assist with large-scale data preprocessing and feature engineering (petabyte-scale geoscience datasets)
• Develop and train ML models for object classification and detection
• Evaluate model performance and improve classification accuracy
• Collaborate with geoscientists to validate model outputs and refine detection results
• Support ML pipeline development, deployment, and monitoring
• Participate in architectural reviews with the Technical Architect to ensure production-grade system design
• Document experiments, methodologies, and results clearly and systematically
Requirements:
• MTech / MSc in Computer Vision, AI/ML, or related field (current student or recent graduate)
• Strong Python skills (PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV)
• Academic project experience with CNNs, image classification, or object detection
• Interest in geoscience related applications
• Bonus: Familiarity with satellite data formats
