About the Role
This internship offers an immersive experience in a cutting-edge deeptech environment where hardware and AI intersect. Interns will support research, product development, and operational activities that contribute to Wave Photonics’ mission of scaling photonic design. You’ll work closely with engineers and the leadership team to explore how data, AI, and automation are transforming the field of photonics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in research and documentation related to photonic circuit design and simulation workflows.
- Support product testing, data collection, and technical reporting.
- Help organize project deliverables and maintain operational documentation.
- Conduct market or technology research on emerging applications of photonics and integrated optics.
- Collaborate with the engineering and business teams to support day-to-day tasks.
What We’re Looking For
Wave Photonics is seeking a detail-oriented and curious intern with a strong technical foundation and an eagerness to learn about photonics, AI, and computational engineering. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking with effective communication and thrives in a fast-moving research environment. You should be comfortable learning new scientific or engineering concepts and able to work collaboratively within a small, innovative team.

- Experience or coursework in physics, optics, or engineering
- Familiarity with simulation or data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or COMSOL)
- Strong organizational and written communication skills
